Living in Trust or Doubt

Revelation 16, 17, 18

By Rick Nason

Although much of Revelation is hard to interpret there are two major themes that are obvious. Firstly, God will eternally judge those who have rejected Him and secondly, he will save and bless those who have saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Chapter 16 describes the Bowl judgements which will be great and destructive. But towards the end of chapter 16 Apostle John interjects a warning as follows: “Behold,I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” (Nkjb)            Therefore , how do we remain watchful and walk with the Lord in His Righteousness, to the end? What is saving Faith? In our faith I believe God wants us to trust Him In all things having to do with our temporal lives. Faith and trust is the only way we can be secure in this life. If we don’t trust God we will doubt him and continue in fear and remain unstable in our walk. We can’t have it both ways. We either trust the Lord and remain watchful or doubt God and trust ourselves and fall into the worldly traps around us.                                                      Praise God his truth always prevails. Let us trust him with everything so that we can live in His Love and blessings.
